California EVV (CalEVV) Resources

The California Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Phase II Project would like to welcome you and your staff to CalEVV.

• To access your Cal EVV account, please go to this web address: https://evv.sandata.com/VM/Login

  To log in, use the credentials provided to you via email. The temporary password is only valid for 60 days. You are required to change this temporary password the first time you access the account.

• Detailed documentation for the use of Cal EVV is available in by clicking the User Manual module with-in the EVV application.

• You are currently on the Sandata Knowledge Base, which contains many support and education tools, including video. Please keep in mind that the in-system and much of the Knowledge Base information is general to the CalEVV application.

• Visit the following links to view updated information on EVV and for specific contact email addresses for each department should you have additional questions:

The CalEVV Open EVV Specification v2.6 outlines the required formats and rules for sending client, caregiver, schedule, and visit data to California’s Sandata EVV system.

This version updates all Medicaid ID fields to use the CIN (Client Index Number) and refreshes the list of active Jurisdictional Entities, ensuring accurate and compliant EVV submissions

Specification User Guide

This specification user guide is intended to document the requirements for using the Sandata Real Time Interface for receiving information into the Sandata Aggregator. A program specification is created for each customer implementation to specify agreed upon frequencies, expected values for fields and those fields which will be omitted or left to the sender’s discretion. This document contains technical information and examples for each entity type.

AltEVV Vendor Solutions Specifications

This specification is intended to document the requirements for using the Sandata Real Time Interface (part of the Open EVV Series of Interface) for receiving information from 3rd party EVV Vendors into the Sandata Aggregator. This interface is also referred to as the EVV Vendor Solutions Data Interface. A Third Party EVV Data Collection System builds one data pipe to the Aggregator and sends synchronous data packages per defined provider agency.

This interface includes clients, employees, visits, and their associated calls as well as the ability to send data related to visit modifications.
