What's New: Sandata EVV Enhanced 8.59 Release Notes
System Enhancements
We've improved the Manage Access Groups interface to ensure that the "All" selection checkbox for Payers and Programs now correctly unchecks when an individual item is removed. This fix ensures your selection status is always accurate and allows you to easily re-add specific items without manual workarounds.
We have updated the Authorization module for Pennsylvania to ensure full compliance with state requirements. The "Format" selection is now restricted to "Unit" only, removing unsupported options and preventing synchronization errors. Additionally, we've improved the clarity of messages in Visit Maintenance to help you quickly identify and resolve visits that are missing a matching authorization.
We have enhanced the Client Contact Information module to ensure that all updates—including changes to Date of Birth, Contact Type, and Relationship—are now fully captured and displayed in the Audit History. Additionally, the system now correctly logs the deletion of contact records, providing a complete and reliable historical trail for all client contact modifications.
Administrators can now view a complete history of changes made to user accounts, including profile updates, role assignments, and activation status, ensuring full accountability for user access.
To strengthen data privacy controls, you can now audit all changes to Access Groups, including the addition or removal of specific accounts, payers, and programs, ensuring you know exactly who can see what data.
We have introduced a new Notes tab in the Visit Maintenance and Review modules. This feature allows users to add multiple, structured notes to a visit, providing a more reliable and auditable alternative to the single Memo field. To ensure data integrity and compliance, these notes are "add-only"—meaning they cannot be edited or deleted once saved—and each entry automatically captures the text, the user who created it, and a time stamp.
We have added a new Notes tab to the Aggregator (Old UI) Visit Review screen. This update allows users to view structured, visit-related notes that were added in the EVV system. These notes are displayed in a clear, chronological list—showing the note text, the user who created it, and the timestamp—ensuring that all visit documentation is easily accessible for audit and compliance purposes within the Aggregator.
We have resolved an issue in the Scheduling module where users were unable to save changes when editing an existing schedule. This fix ensures that the "Save" button remains fully responsive, allowing you to update schedule details quickly and accurately without having to recreate them.
We have improved the data synchronization between the MMIS and Sandata EVV to ensure that client address updates are accurately reflected. Specifically, we resolved an issue where "Address Line 2" (and other optional fields like Email Address and County) would not update if the value was cleared in the MMIS. The system now correctly allows blank values from the MMIS feed to overwrite existing data in these optional fields, ensuring your client records remain perfectly in sync with the state's source of truth.
We've introduced a new Navigation Confirmation Modal to help protect your work. Now, if you have unsaved changes and try to log out, switch accounts, or navigate away, a clear confirmation prompt will appear to ensure you don't accidentally lose your progress. This update provides a more stable experience and adds an extra layer of safety to your daily workflows.
-
We've upgraded the Visit Maintenance History table to provide full field-level transparency. You can now see exactly what changed, including the previous and new values for each field, the specific user who made the update, and the associated reason and resolution codes, all standardized to Central Standard Time (CST) for easier auditing.
-
The Aggregator's Visit Review History table has been updated to match our new comprehensive audit standards. This ensures that all visit modifications—whether made in the EVV system or the Aggregator—are displayed with consistent columns, including field-level changes, reason notes, and CST timestamps for full regulatory compliance.
We have resolved an issue where an employee's Release Date audit history was being cleared when their status was changed from inactive to active. With this fix, the system now correctly retains and displays the full historical record of release date changes, ensuring your employee audit logs remain complete and accurate even after reactivation.
State Specific Release Notes
We've enhanced the Arkansas Data Warehouse extract by standardizing the ChangeDateTime field to consistently use UTC timestamps across all visit updates. This enhancement improves the accuracy and consistency of exported EVV data.
-
We have updated the Coordinator role for Illinois DHS to provide the full flexibility needed for managing Paid Leave visits. Coordinators can now create, edit, and approve Paid Leave visits up to 6 months in the future and 2 years in the past, removing the previous restriction that limited them to the current pay period. This ensures that Coordinators have the correct permissions to support their program's specific scheduling and reporting needs.
-
We have corrected an issue for Illinois DHS where the full list of authorized services was not appearing during manual visit creation. Coordinators can now see and select all services an Individual Provider is approved to deliver—such as Personal Attendant or Certified Nurse's Aide—alongside Paid Leave Time, ensuring every visit is documented accurately and efficiently.
MA EOHHS – EVV Service Expansion for SCO & OneCare Payers
We've expanded Massachusetts EOHHS EVV support by introducing a new SCO program and updating payer, program, and service combinations for SCO and OneCare plans. This enhancement enables providers and Alt EVV vendors to seamlessly submit, validate, and process visits using the latest program configurations across the EVV platform, ensuring continued compliance with Massachusetts EOHHS requirements.
Overnight Split Shift
We've enhanced Massachusetts EVV support for qualifying overnight services by automatically splitting overnight shifts into separate visit records across calendar days. This enhancement enables providers to seamlessly submit claims that align with date-based billing requirements, improving claims matching accuracy while ensuring continued compliance with Massachusetts program requirements.
Enhanced Group Visit Accessibility in SMC
We have fixed a bug in the SMC Mobile App where the "Group Visit Code" field would become unresponsive if the "Join Group Visit" button was tapped before entering a code. Users can now reliably enter their 6-digit group visit code and join visits directly from the Unknown Visit modal without having to restart the process.
Member MQ & Member Web Service - Supress Client SSN
We've enhanced Ohio member integrations by suppressing Social Security Numbers (SSNs) across the Member Web Service and Member MQ Service. This enhancement ensures sensitive member information is handled consistently across Ohio integrations, strengthening data privacy while maintaining a seamless experience for downstream processing and member data management.
Improved Reliability for Ohio Provider Integrations
We've enhanced the Ohio Provider MQ integration with improved connection management, including timeout, keep-alive, and queue depth monitoring. This enhancement strengthens the reliability of provider data processing, enabling more resilient integrations, improved operational visibility, and a more seamless experience across the Ohio EVV platform.
PA DHS: EVV Service Expansion
We've expanded Pennsylvania DHS EVV support to include 12 new service code and modifier combinations required for PHC and CHC programs. This enhancement enables providers and Alt EVV vendors to seamlessly submit, validate, and report visits using the newly required codes through the EVV Portal, Mobile Connect, Telephony, Claims Validation, and Data Warehouse, ensuring continued compliance with Pennsylvania DHS requirements.
We've expanded Vermont Alt EVV support to enable ARIS Solutions' transition to Annkissam's FMS Engine while broadening payer, program, and service support within the existing Alt EVV framework. This enhancement enables providers to seamlessly submit EVV data through their preferred Alt EVV solution while ensuring continued compliance with Vermont DVHA requirements and supporting future provider flexibility.
