Employees Employee Sync Overview

The Employment Tracking Wizard updates the employee's job titles, pay rates and other employment dates. In addition if the Sync Primary Position Information to Employees check box found in Position and Placement Options is enabled, employment information from the employee's primary position or managed position, sync back to the employee's record if the Use Position Management check box is selected on the Basic Information card of the Main tab of the employee screen. If so, then certain employee properties are read-only (because they are managed via the Employment Tracking Wizard/Sync Position Information to Employee processes).

The table below provides a quick reference of which properties are read-only:

  • Employment Tracking Settings Enabled = True

  • Process Transactions = True
